A Simple Way to Learn the ABCs: Kids in Socks Giveaway!

So, I know it’s summertime and the idea of purchasing socks for your kids isn’t exactly always a top priority right now. But, if you’re a parent of a munchkin about to enter Kindergarten, or pre-k, in the Fall, these socks might be a super fun and simple way to learn the ABCs. That’s why we put together this awesome Kids in Socks Giveaway to get your kiddo ready for school!

Kids in Socks is the perfect way to start teaching your little ones the alphabet. How? Easy- each pair of socks has a letter on one foot, and a matching animal or object on the second.

For example: A for apple, B for ball, and C for car. The  images are easy to recognize and are great way to get your little munchkin to learn the basics of literacy and the pronunciation of certain words before entering kindergarten. This will make them feel prepared and ahead of the class.

FIRST A LITTLE ABOUT KIDS IN SOCKS:

Co-founder, Lucy, who has a  Bachelor’s Degree in Child Psychology, wanted to create a way to help children interact early on with learning the alphabet. Her product stimulates an understanding of words, colors and shapes.

With everything that gets piled up with parenting, Lucy wants Kids In Socks to be a practical stepping stone in your child’s education. These socks make it fun to practice reading skills and child development.

A SIMPLE WAY TO LEARN THE ABCS:

I have to disclose that this product was sent to me for a review and when I first took them out of the box, I loved how brightly colored and incredible soft they were!

In an article that we posted back in May called, How to Prep Your Kids for Kindergarten, we suggested tips to “Have your child help you tidy up!”, and “Routine Routine Routine!” These tips focused on ways to get your child prepared for school for the first time.

Bring home a language learning game that will help prepare you little one for kindergarten…with socks! When your child gets dressed every morning have them practice how to say the picture on the sock out loud and repeat what letter it starts with.

Or, you can play a matching game when you do the laundry (bonus! your child will help you fold laundry and tidy up).

This set of alphabet socks helps you introduce a new letter and matching word every day for 26 days. Then, after 26 days, you can start the fun again and again and again.

The pictures that Kids In Socks uses to correlate with the letters are also very helpful because they are obvious and recognizable. With everyday objects like cars, apples and ice cream, or characters they see in books like a princess or an octopus, it will be easy for your child to recognize what the subject is and how to relate it back to the matching letters.

This product is for ages 2-4 and comes in both girl and boy colors. Prices range from $9.99 to $14.99 for smaller packs or you can purchase the entire alphabet pack on sale for $100.00. It is regularly $130.
