We spend a lot of time outside in the summer…and we should! But, we do have to be careful to protect our little ones’ eyes. Did you know that kids’ eyes are more susceptible to irreversible damage from UV rays than adults? They receive three times more UV exposure than adults each year. Yikes! My little guy LOVES being outside almost as much as he loves being naked (in case you were wondering?? That’s A Lot!!) I take him out as much as I can…trips to the beach, hiking in the woods, the aquarium and the zoo! He is a little Energizer Bunny for two years old so every day I compete with myself to see if I can actually tire him out…he’s winning, by the way, like a million to zero…but I keep getting back in the ring! We go camping just about every weekend at our local campground. I love getting the kids away from the tv and into the wild. Its amazing how much you learn about one another when your all around a campfire talking or your all laying in your tent talking before we fall asleep. This is our favorite family summer time thing to do.
