Hi!

After combining MMC with my business website for too long, I’ve decided to officially separate the two. This is the new home of the Metro Mom Club blog. Heya! I hope that this site becomes a home base for stylish, sophisticated, a little bit edgy, uncommon and ambitious women…most specifically creative, badass and educated urban moms. Us urban moms live different lives than everyone else we know outside of the city. Car? What? Backyard? What?

I want what’s best for my kiddo but I don’t go off the deep end (I don’t think?). I buy organic when I can, avoid licensed toys, use disposable but compostable diapers, and stopped breastfeeding at 6 months. I feel like parenting in the city is all about balance.

But, I’m not just a mom. In fact, I wasn’t a mom for most of my life. I can’t resist a good beauty treatment, French anything, yoga sesh or sale at Barneys.

My professional background has almost always centered around products. From writing product descriptions, to being a buyer, to being editor in chief of Gifts.com where I shared shopping advice, gift giving etiquette and product trends for over 8 years.

I pride myself in highlighting catalogs that most people haven’t heard about. I just love picking out a few favorite things from a good catalog, and then sharing them.  It makes everyone better gift givers and helps out the smaller more local shops. You can expect to see lots of product recommendations, gift ideas, etiquette, sales, maybe some cooking and other how tos here that I find helpful as a mom in the city.

That said, I’ll need some time to fluff it up. Being the mom of a toddler and running my own business gets pretty time consuming and exhausting.  So, check back from time to time or just follow me on Pinterest!
