Happy Labor Day from Metro Mom Club
I hope that you and your family are making the most of this last official weekend of summer, although we thankfully actually technically still have a few weeks to go. I’m not going to force you to read a Manners Monday post on a holiday. That just wouldn’t be polite. So go have fun, fire up your grill, sling back some drinks, play with your kids, do some fall shopping and check back later this week! Happy Labor Day 2015! XO – MMC
A little Labor Day history for you:
It was created by a labor movement that wanted the American workers to be celebrated with some much needed R&R. It officially became a national holiday in 1894, one hundred twenty-one years ago. It’s considered a, “national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.” Read more about the history of Labor Day here.
