Best Of: Sweaty Betty February 2015
I love yoga. I used to do yoga a lot. Like a lot, a lot. I did 30 days of Bikram yoga in a row, sometimes twice in one day. I even wrote a post about Bikram yoga gear that you need to get started. But, after having a baby I’m lucky if I do yoga once every two weeks. That’s depressing. When I got the latest Sweaty Betty catalog I got all pumped up about doing yoga again. Sweaty Betty has some of the coolest hipster yoga clothes that you’ll find already made and mass-ish marketed. They’re a little pricey, but the quality is great so these pieces will last you for years. With bathing suit season right around the corner, I’m fantasizing about shedding these last 5 pounds of pregnancy and winter weight and toning my jiggle up! It’s even more motivating to think about the possibility of not having to slosh through icy, melty, black slush with seven layers on to go to Yoga to the People. I love YTTP but gearing up to trek there in the winter is ROUGH. I can’t wait till I can just slip on my chucks and put a dress over my yoga clothes to head to class. Here are a few things that I like best at Sweaty Betty right now.
Mandala Yoga Tank This tank drapes perfectly before, during and after a good yoga sesh and it shows off those nice shoulders you’ve been working on with all those sun salutations. $80
Yoga Fan Vinyasa flow guide deck that you can take anywhere…i.e. McCarren Park on summer mornings. Park your stroller once your kiddo falls asleep in the stroller and get to stretching. This makes a great gift for moms who are trying to find a way to fit yoga into their lives. Happy Mother’s Day! Just make sure you give her a couple 30 minute slots to use it each week, too. $24
Neon Jumping Rope What?! Sometimes a girl just needs a quick burst of cardio. If you’re doing yoga at home or in the park, do a one-minute set of jump rope every once in a while to break up your yoga flow and get your entire workout for the day in all at once. $16
Trikonasana Yoga Bra Seamless crop bra top that has a super comfy (and pretty sexy) racer back. $55
Grace Leggings Engineered to be seamless and stay put! $60
